Creating Custom Legal Documents

Learn how to create customized legal documents using our templates and AI technology.

Accessing Document Generation

  1. Navigate to the Document Generation section from your dashboard sidebar.
  2. You'll see three tabs: Templates, Generate, and History.
  3. Start with the Templates tab to browse available document types.

Exploring Document Templates

We offer a comprehensive library of templates for various legal needs:

  • Contracts - Employment, service, NDA, sales, etc.
  • Corporate Documents - Bylaws, operating agreements, minutes
  • Legal Correspondence - Demand letters, notices, responses
  • Compliance Documents - Privacy policies, terms of service

Using a Template

  1. Browse or search for your desired template type.
  2. Click on a template card to view details and sample content.
  3. Click "Use Template" to start the generation process.
  4. You'll be taken to the document form with pre-populated sections.

Filling Out the Document Form

The document form is divided into several sections:

  • Document Information - Title, date, and basic details
  • Sender Information - Your details (auto-filled from your profile)
  • Recipient Information - Details of the other party
  • Document Content - Specific fields relevant to your document type
  • AI Instructions - Additional context to guide the AI

Using Profile Information

To save time:

  • Complete your Legal Profile in advance (Personal, Company, and Legal tabs)
  • Check the "Use Profile Information" box to auto-fill your details
  • You can still edit any auto-filled information if needed

AI-Assisted Generation

For more complex documents:

  1. Switch to the "Generate" tab instead of using a template.
  2. Describe the document you need in plain language.
  3. Provide details about parties involved, key terms, and special provisions.
  4. The AI will generate a custom document based on your requirements.
  5. You can iterate with the AI through the chat interface to refine the document.

Reviewing and Editing

After generation:

  • Review the document in the preview pane.
  • Edit any section directly in the editor.
  • Use the formatting toolbar to adjust text styles, add lists, etc.
  • Add or remove clauses as needed.

Finalizing and Exporting

When you're satisfied with the document:

  • Click "Save" to store the document in your account.
  • Click "Download" to export as PDF or DOCX.
  • Use "Share" to send a secure link to others for review.

Accessing Document History

All generated documents are saved in your History tab, where you can:

  • View, edit, or duplicate previous documents
  • Monitor the status of documents sent for review
  • Track versions and changes over time
