Analyzing Contracts and Legal Documents

This detailed tutorial will help you get the most out of our document analysis capabilities.

Uploading Documents

  1. Navigate to the Document Analysis section from the dashboard sidebar.
  2. Click the "Upload" button or drag and drop your file into the designated area.
  3. We support PDF, DOCX, and TXT file formats up to 10MB in size.
  4. Once uploaded, the analysis will start automatically.

Understanding the Analysis Results

Your document analysis is organized into several key sections:

  • Summary - A concise overview of the document's purpose and contents
  • Key Provisions - Important clauses and their implications
  • Risk Flags - Potential issues or concerns that require attention
  • Legal Compliance - Assessment of how the document aligns with relevant laws
  • Entities - Key parties, organizations, and individuals mentioned

Working with Key Provisions

Each identified provision includes:

  • The original text excerpt from your document
  • An explanation in plain language
  • Potential implications for your business
  • Recommendations for modifications or considerations

Risk Assessment

The Risk Assessment section categorizes potential issues by severity:

  • High - Issues that require immediate attention
  • Medium - Concerns that should be addressed but aren't urgent
  • Low - Minor issues that represent minimal risk

Generating Responses

Our AI can help you draft responses based on the analysis:

  1. Scroll to the Response Generator section at the bottom of the analysis.
  2. Select the type of response you need (e.g., Counterproposal, Clarification Request).
  3. Add any specific instructions or concerns in the input field.
  4. Click "Generate Response" and review the AI-drafted text.
  5. Edit the response as needed before using it in your communications.

Saving and Sharing Analysis

You can:

  • Download the complete analysis as a PDF report
  • Save specific sections or provisions to reference later
  • Share the analysis with colleagues via a secure link

Tips for Better Results

  • Ensure your documents are properly formatted with clear headings and sections
  • For scanned PDFs, check that the text is readable and properly OCR'd
  • Use the context field to provide additional information about the document's purpose
